Payroll Administrator

Payescape Ltd are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our Operations Team.

Duties include:

  • Interpreting and validating client data submissions
  • Accurate and efficient processing of payroll data
  • Processing payments via BACSelectronic payment systems
  • Confident handling of payroll calculations and administrative queries
  • Administering Tax, National Insurance, and all relevant statutory deductions
  • Processing holiday and statutory payments including sickness absence, maternity etc
  • Calculating overtime, shift payments, salary increases and other allowances
  • Issuing P45s and other payroll related documentation
  • Reconciliation of payroll accounts and ensuring accuracy of records
  • Preparing wages and processing expense claims
  • Creating and maintaining accurate employee payroll records
  • Developing strong relationships with clients
  • Supporting general administration duties and assisting with ad-hoc tasks as required

Personnel Specification:

  • Minimum of 2 years Customer Service experience
  • Minimum of 2 years administrative experience
  • Minimum of 2 years payroll experience and operating payroll software (desirable)
  • GCSE Maths and English, Grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Good IT proficiency
  • Competency navigating Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to meet and exceed strict deadlines
  • A professional and respectful approach towards handling confidential data
  • Passion and enthusiasm towards exceptional customer service

Hours:Full-Time position, 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm).
