Maintenance Electrician

£41,500 plus benefits
An opportunity is available for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a busy engineering team within a safety-critical environment. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and ensuring compliance of electrical systems, plant and equipment, while supporting efficient site operations.
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, inspections and fault finding across site plant and equipment.
*Ensure all electrical systems and documentation are accurate and compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
*Deliver planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns efficiently to minimise downtime.
*Identify electrical faults and safety risks, implementing corrective actions where required.
*Prioritise and schedule maintenance activities in line with operational requirements.
*Coordinate with OEMs and external contractors when necessary.
*Install, relocate and decommission machinery and carry out minor electrical installations (e.g. lighting circuits).
*Maintain accurate records using asset management systems and complete all required documentation.
*Provide support across mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems where required.
*Mentor apprentices and provide on-the-job training and guidance.
*Participate in out-of-hours and weekend engineering cover as part of a rota.
Essential Criteria
*Recognised electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
*Proven experience in maintenance, fault finding and repair of industrial electrical systems.
*Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and safe systems of work.
*Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
*Full driving licence or access to suitable transport.
