Machine Operator – Bangor

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a manufacturing team in Bangor, producing adhesive-coated tapes for automotive, aerospace, and industrial applications.

Shift Patterns Available

Option 1 – Rotating 8-hour shifts (Monday-Friday):

  • Week
  • Week

Option 2 – 12-hour shifts (rotating days/nights, between Monday-Thursday):

  • 08:00 – 20:00
  • 20:00 – 08:00

Pay Rates

  • Days: £13.12 per hour
  • Evenings (16:00 – 00:00): £16.27 per hour
  • Nights: £17.71 per hour

Role Overview

You will be responsible for operating large-scale industrial machinery within a small production team, ensuring consistent, high-quality output in line with production schedules and strict health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Set up, operate, and adjust production machinery in line with SOPs
  • Load raw materials into machines and remove finished products safely
  • Monitor production runs to ensure consistent quality standards are met
  • Carry out visual inspections and report defects or inconsistencies
  • Identify and escalate machine faults or production issues promptly
  • Complete basic data entry and production logging on computer systems
  • Maintain accurate production records where required
  • Follow all health & safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times
  • Keep work area clean, organised, and compliant with site standards
  • Support team members to maintain smooth production flow

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine operating environment
  • Good mechanical awareness and practical aptitude
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus
  • Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures
  • Reliable, flexible, and safety-conscious approach to work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
