Transport Planner
Based in the Lisburn area, my client is a leading sheet metal manufacturing company who are market leaders in their field and who have the lowest turnover of staff that I have come across. They rarely recruit due to their excellent work environment, and they are seeking to recruit an experienced Transport Planner.
On offer is a salary of £42,000 – £45,000, 33 holidays, pension, life assurance, hours are Mon Thurs, 8am 5pm and Fri, 8am 1pm (38 hour week).My client is offering a secure, well paid and exciting job for the rest of your career. It is important to note that they do not work overtime, and you will leave for home promptly on a daily basis.
Role Transport Planner
- Support and coordinate daily transport planning and scheduling activities.
- Work closely with transport operations to optimise route planning and delivery performance.
- Create delivery schedules and proactively manage operational issues.
- Ensure accurate system usage and transport data integrity.
- Work closely with Customer Service Co-ordinators to ensure accurate and timely customer communication.
Person Transport Planner
- Previous proven experience within transport planning, logistics coordination or transport operations, to include a strong understanding of transport scheduling and delivery processes.
- Experience working with transport management systems (TMS).
