Infant Feeding Advisor (Community) AA

Eligibility

Internal NHS Fife employees only – you must be currently employed by NHS Fife to be eligible to apply for this fixed term post.

Summary

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse / Registered Midwife to join our team on a fixed term basis to promote breastfeeding and support infant feeding across Community Children’s Services in Fife. The role requires excellent clinical and communication skills and leadership ability to manage and support a team of breastfeeding support workers.

Responsibilities

• Promote breastfeeding and support infant feeding across Community Children’s Services.
• Work with Infant Feeding Advisors in maternity and neonatal services, Health Visitors and Family Nurses to provide family‑centred, evidence‑based care.
• Lead and support a team of breastfeeding support workers, providing guidance and development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance infant feeding outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife.
• Strong leadership and team‑management skills.
• Excellent communication and clinical skills.
• Passion for infant feeding and the ability to support professionals and families.
