Riverbank and Meadow Lodge are day opportunity and respite services providing support to adults with learning disabilities, five days a week throughout the year. We work closely with customers to identify their goals and support them in a wide range of activities both at the service and in the local community.
What you will do
- Support customers with personal care and daily living tasks
- Help plan and take part in meaningful activities
- Provide emotional and practical support when needed
- Assist with household tasks and basic financial responsibilities
- Work flexibly across day and respite services, including evenings, weekends, sleep‑ins and waking nights
- Support customers in their homes or within the service settings
You will be part of a supportive service where your work makes a real difference every day. We offer flexible working, ongoing training and development, and the chance to help people build confidence, skills and independence. As a casual worker, you will have no fixed hours and will work on an as‑needed basis, depending on Wiltshire Council’s requirements and your availability.
Qualifications
- Caring, patient and committed to supporting adults with learning disabilities
- Able to communicate clearly and work well with others
- Calm under pressure and able to make sensible decisions
- Physically able to carry out all aspects of the role
- Willing to learn and develop, including completing required training
- No specific qualifications needed if you have relevant skills or experience
You will need a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, unless other suitable transport or a reasonable adjustment is agreed.
