As a Healthcare Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our patients’ well‑being and recovery. Working alongside our nursing team, you’ll be the primary point of contact for many of our patients, providing essential care and compassion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with patient care, including feeding, dressing, and personal hygiene
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Collaborating with the nursing team to ensure optimal patient care
  • Receiving a 5‑day full‑time induction training programme within the hospital
  • Carrying out a variety of tasks, including personal hygiene care
  • Working a variety of shifts: mornings (starting 7 am), short days, long days (10–12 hours), evenings (till about 8 pm), and nights (from about 7 pm)

  • Flexible and able to cover a variety of shifts; 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
  • Education: Educated to C Grade or Equivalent (Numeracy or Literacy)
  • Experience: 1 year in a health care setting as a Health Care Support Worker

Working Hours & Conditions

We consider both Part‑Time and Full‑Time applications, but you MUST be flexible and able to cover a variety of shifts as we operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Salary

£25,760 to £27,476 a year per annum pro rata if full time
