We have exciting opportunities for Youth Support Workers across the county, particularly in the Mansfield, Gedling, Broxtowe and Newark areas. If you care about young people and want to make a difference in your community, this role is for you! Whether you have a few hours a week to spare or are looking for extra income, we want motivated and enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with young people.
As a Youth Support Worker, you will:
- Build Bonds: Develop positive professional relationships with young people.
- Engage Enthusiastically: Enable young people to participate in fun and engaging activities.
- Understand Issues: Recognise and address the challenges young people face in today’s society.
- Guide Growth: Assist young people in making informed choices about their lives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A genuine interest in working with young people.
- Basic understanding of the issues affecting youth today.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different situations.
- No formal qualifications are required, but experience in youth work or related fields is a plus.
Required Soft Skills or Competencies/Behaviours
- Compassionate Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work well with others and independently.
- Creative Problem Solver: Think outside the box to engage and support young people.
- Respectful Approach: Treat all individuals with dignity and respect.
