Outpatient Booking Co‑ordinator
Band 4 Coordinator Post at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. 21 hours per week.
Hours: Monday 12:30-17:00, Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 08:30-12:30, Friday 12:30-17:00.
Responsibilities
- Work independently and as part of a team to support the day treatment and outpatient departments within the Anchor Unit.
- Prioritise conflicting demands across day treatment and outpatient services.
- Maintain regular contact with staff across Anchor Unit day treatment areas.
- Deal with service users and colleagues in a confident, caring and empathetic manner both over the phone and in person.
- Organise and manage booking schedules, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilise IT systems to support the Oncology/Haematology service.
Qualifications & Skills
- Self‑motivated and able to work on own initiative.
- Strong organisational and methodical approach.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and IT skills.
- Experience or willingness to work within an Oncology/Haematology context a plus.
Working Hours & Pay
Part‑time 21 hours per week. As from 1 April 2026, the full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week; part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata with a corresponding increase in hourly rate to keep pay unaffected.
