Grinder

We are looking for a Grinder to work on a permanent basis in the Oldham area.

The role is working Monday to Friday: 6am to 2.30pm and 2.30pm to 11pm.

Salary is c£33-34,200 per annum plus 25% shift pay, company bonus, 25 days’ holiday and bank holidays, pension etc.

Duties for the Grinder:

• Operation of manual and CNC grinding machines.
• Grinding experience preferred but full training will be given.

Key Responsibilities for the Grinder role:

• Set and operate grinding machines.
• Use and understand technical drawings.
• Use measuring equipment to ensure component compliance.
• Perform basic TPM on all equipment including cleaning and lubrication.
• Mentor and instruct roll grinding apprentices when required.
• Committed to continuous improvement and able to suggest improvements regarding methods, processes, and tooling.
• Apprenticeship in Engineering or similar qualification desirable.
