About the Role

The Central Technology Team at Arm develops core technologies for future products. You will join a multinational, multifaceted, and highly motivated Systems team within Central Technology. Together, you will help shape the direction of our world‑leading products. You need architecture and hardware/software development skills and creative thinking. In this role, you will be a technology leader whose ideas make a difference and help deliver industry‑leading IP.

Responsibilities

Your job responsibilities will be diverse. They may include architecture, technology research, hands‑on prototyping, and experimental investigations. You will engage with product groups, work closely with engineering teams, and participate in partner and customer engagements.

Together With Our World‑leading Architects You Will

  • Build and develop systems architecture for the latest technologies for products in new and existing markets.
  • Perform high level performance modeling and analysis of hardware features, applications, benchmarks and games.
  • Develop and improve tools for architectural exploration and performance analysis.
  • Understand and analyse system level architectural trade‑offs (including hardware, memory systems and system software).
  • Collaborate with the Arm engineering team to see your ideas delivered into products.

Job Requirements

  • BSEE or BSCS required. MS/PhD in EE or CS preferred.
  • A deep experience and background in Computer Science and Systems architecture.
  • Extensive experience in SoC build, and the challenges involved in integrating IP and analysing system‑level performance and behaviour.
  • Ability to quantify and make trade‑offs between power, performance and area appropriately to meet the requirements of the product.
  • Knowledge of interconnect and network‑on‑chip technology principles.
  • Strong programming ability: C, C++, scripting.
  • A strong history of thinking creatively and communicating effectively in a distributed team environment, with a practical, organised and analytical approach to work.
  • Excellent team working skills, self‑motivation and results focused.

Salary Range

£168,300 – £227,700 per year
