About the Role
We are recruiting for a skilled Electrician to join a busy commercial site in Newcastle City Centre, working on the installation phase of a new‑build office development. This is a long‑term contract with consistent hours and regular overtime available.
You’ll be working as part of an established electrical team, carrying out a range of installation tasks including containment, wiring, lighting, and associated commercial fit‑out duties. The site is well‑organised, safety‑focused, and offers ongoing work for reliable tradespeople.
Key Details
- Position: Electrician (IPAF required)
- Location: Newcastle City Centre
- Project Type: Commercial – New‑Build Offices
- Start Date: ASAP start available
- Hours: Up to 45 hours per week
- Pay Rate: £25.20 per hour
- Overtime: 5 hours per week available at £35.28
- Duration: Ongoing – approx 6 months +
What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing commercial containment systems
- First and second fix electrical work
- Working at height using IPAF equipment
- Supporting the wider electrical team with site progress
- Ensuring all work meets safety and compliance standards
What You Need
- Valid JIB AND IPAF
- Proven experience on commercial or new‑build projects
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work overtime as required
