This is a contractual Economics Teacher role based on a term-time basis. The RoleAs an Economics Teacher, you will deliver engaging, knowledge-rich lessons across KS4 and KS5, using current economic events and real-world data to bring theory to life. You will track and drive pupil progress through assessment, contribute to A-Level delivery and university preparation, and build strong, productive relationships with students, families, and colleagues throughout the year. What the School is Looking ForThis Economics Teacher position will suit candidates who:
- Hold British QTS or are completing a UK-accredited teacher training programme
- Graduated with a 2:1 or above in Economics or a closely related discipline from a reputable UK university, ideally Russell Group
- Have meaningful classroom experience within a UK secondary school through placements or a substantive post
- Show clear evidence of structured lesson delivery and strong pupil outcomes at KS4 and above
- Are legally entitled to work in the UK – visa sponsorship is not available
ECT applicants are welcomed provided formal UK teacher training has been completed. Salary & ContractThis is a term-time contractual role equivalent to the Inner London pay scale. Salaries range from £40,317 (M1) to £62,496 (UPS3), with daily rates ranging from £206.77 to £320.51 inclusive of holiday pay. Placement on the scale is commensurate with experience.
