Pharmacy Assistant

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain stock levels within the Pharmacy department.
• Assist in the procurement of pharmaceutical stock for pharmacy and other departments using electronic systems.
• Support the pharmacist in dispensing controlled drugs.
• Participate in quarterly stock takes within the pharmacy department.
• Perform date checks as required.
• Provide general administrative support to the department.
• Assist with general dispensing duties as required.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 or equivalent in pharmacy services (prior hospital experience preferred).
• Previous pharmacy experience.
• Hold a Buttercups (or equivalent) qualification in Pharmacy Services.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Motivated to provide a high‑quality service and passionate about the role.
• Shows initiative.
