At Bright Futures, we champion the potential of every person with autism and a learning disability, believing wholeheartedly in their ability to thrive and lead fulfilling lives. We’re looking for passionate and caring Support Workers to join our specialist home in Rainford, St Helens.

Higher Lane is a 4‑bedroom adults home located in Rainford, St Helens. The home offers sensory play, film watching, baking, music, arts and crafts, and access to college for further education. Residents enjoy local walks, public transport, swimming, beach trips, nearby farms, and shopping trips to develop independence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day support, including personal care, activity facilitation and encouraging independence.
  • Maintain accurate records of needs, support provided and progress.
  • Create a warm, stimulating environment and work a mix of day shifts and night or overnight shifts as required.
  • Mentor, advocate, and encourage residents, helping them achieve the best outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the support team to create a safe, positive and empowering environment.

Qualifications & Attributes

  • Passion for person‑centred support.
  • Positive, proactive attitude.
  • Resilience and strong teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Care experience helpful but not essential; full training and support will be provided.

Safeguarding Requirement

Successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and provide satisfactory references.
