Aircraft Electrical Fitter in Holyhead

Our client has an opportunity for an Aircraft Electrical Fitter to join them on a contract basis until the end of the year. The Aircraft Electrical Fitter is responsible for assisting in the movement, line and base maintenance of the UK MFTS (RW) H135/H145 fleet.

Role Details

• Role: Aircraft Electrical Fitter
• Location: RAF Valley, Wales. Fully onsite
• Hours: 40 per week – shifts TBD
• Hourly Rate: £28.16 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35
• Clearance: BPSS required before starting, full SC to follow

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations.
• Accomplish maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by a nominated Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer.
• Work to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
• Complete maintenance, including avionic and electrical systems, in accordance with written instructions laid down by OEM.
• Conduct off‑aircraft technical work in workshops as required.
• Assist in day‑to‑day running of the aircraft hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.

Requirements

• Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or related discipline.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical and avionic systems.
• Knowledge of specialised test equipment relating to electrical and avionic systems.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of flight/airport operations, aircraft line maintenance, and aircraft base maintenance.
