About the Role

As an NTU Plumber, you will be part of the in‑house Estates team that supports and enables the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the university estate.

The role is varied and diverse, with day‑to‑day duties ranging from ensuring that our estate is safe and operational, through to supporting the delivery of key University events such as open days and graduation ceremonies.

Typical duties will include:

  • Undertaking of fault finding, routine and emergency maintenance tasks and repairs on a full range of plumbing, heating, ventilation, domestic services systems in all university buildings.
  • Plumbing, heating, ventilation, domestic services installation work.
  • Supporting the delivery of minor works projects.
  • Undertaking statutory inspections.
  • Supporting the set up and delivery of key university events such as open days, graduation and clearing.
