Job title: Female Personal Assistant

Hours: Minimum 5 hours per week and holiday and sickness cover

Rate of Pay: £14.00 per hour

Area: Dumpling Hall, Newcastle

Driver with own vehicle essential

Responsibilities

• Assist with social activities such as shopping, meeting family and friends, and attending theatre and local gigs.
• Support when out and about and act as a sighted guide.
• Provide assistance with daily living and personal care as required.
• Respect privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Drive with own vehicle and be physically able to push a wheelchair and load it into the vehicle.

Qualifications

• Female, in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 paragraphs 1‑4.
• Driver’s licence and own suitable vehicle, able to transport a wheelchair.
• Good communication skills, friendly, reliable, flexible hours, and a sense of humour.
• Good general health and physical ability to push a wheelchair.
• Permission to work in the United Kingdom at the start of employment.
