Job Description:

Mount St Joseph’s RC High School is currently seeking a Learning Support Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi-academy trust.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of the class teacher or SEN Co‑ordinator to support pupils in accessing the curriculum effectively and appropriately to their needs.
  • Assist in delivering the provision outlined in statements of special educational needs.
  • Help the teacher create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment.
  • Provide support for teaching and learning activities, contributing to students’ development and safeguarding.
  • Help keep students safe, maintain a safe environment, deal with accidents, and support safeguarding.
  • Promote the inclusion of all students.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Ability to relate well to children.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to supervise and assist students.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality concepts.
