We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to work within schools across Chichester. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a range of learning needs, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils within the classroom.
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities.
Support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
Encourage positive behaviour and promote student engagement.
Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Support pupils with personal, social, and emotional development.
Requirements
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
A patient, caring, and positive approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Flexibility, reliability, and a commitment to supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or support work are advantageous.
