Dundee | £35.9k – £44.4k per annum (dependent on skills and qualifications)

Full-time | Hybrid (office based initially until full training given)

Job Overview

The Network Assistant (Maintenance) will join our Transmission department in Dundee, reporting to the local Maintenance Manager. The role focuses on high level reporting, process development and covering critical support processes, providing operational support to Pipelines, Pressure Control and E&I maintenance and project activities on our transmission and distribution assets.

Responsibilities

  • High level MI reporting, ensuring key Transmission performance targets are met including MRI, PSPI and SHE
  • Departmental reporting on Productivity, Fatigue & Manpower
  • Asset Management & Management Information reporting for ISL third Party MERC Contract
  • Involvement with IT Projects on behalf of the department
  • Development of internal process documentation
  • Assistance with internal Finance Code Assurance Processes
  • Assistance with delivery of all specified scheduled routine and non-routine PSSR and maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with key legislation such as PSSR and the Pipeline Safety Regulations
  • Assist with support activities under the control of the Maintenance Manager
  • Providing high-quality analysis and insight to support decision-making across the wider business
  • Delivering an effective and responsive planning service to operational teams

Qualification & Skills

  • A sound awareness of working within budgets and a strong cost-conscious mindset
  • The ability to think clearly under pressure while maintaining a strong focus on safety
  • Excellent IT skills, with experience using general office software and engineering or analytical applications
  • A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to work
  • Strong organisational, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities
  • The confidence to communicate effectively at all levels and take ownership of your work
  • An understanding of the Transmission system and Scotland Maintenance activities
