BSL Support Worker – Hearing Impairment Services – Gateshead
Are you passionate about supporting children with additional communication needs?
We are recruiting a BSL Support Worker to provide support for pupils with hearing impairments across a range of educational provisions in Gateshead.
This varied role offers the opportunity to work closely with children, families and educational professionals to ensure pupils receive the support they need to flourish academically and socially.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing communication support using BSL
- Supporting access to teaching and learning
- Promoting independence and inclusion
- Assisting with emotional and social development
- Building strong relationships with schools and families
You’ll need:
- BSL Level 2 qualification
- Full UK driving licence and own transport
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working with children is advantageous

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
