Bank Support Worker (Nights)

Prime Life is looking for passionate and dedicated care professionals to join our friendly team as a Night Support Worker on a full or part time basis. This role will be based at Vinegar House in Derbyshire, a 13‑bed care home in Derby City catering for adults under 65 suffering from various aspects of mental health illness.

Responsibilities

• Encourage residents to achieve the highest possible quality of life that is right for them
• Provide companionship whilst giving emotional and practical support
• Assist residents in participating in decisions relating to their daily living arrangements
• Assist residents with personal care and in undertaking recreational activities
• Assist residents to retire for the evening and enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep
• Promote resident independence in the preparation of food and/or at mealtimes
• Work with other professionals to provide individualized care and development plans

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have a genuine caring nature and desire to make a real difference for our residents. Prior experience as a Support Worker or Care Assistant is desirable but not essential, as full training is provided. Candidates must be patient, understanding and respectful of our residents’ individual abilities.
