We are currently seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary setting near Winchester.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals with experience supporting children or vulnerable people, including those from SEN, support work, care, healthcare, residential care, childcare, or education backgrounds who are looking to transfer their skills into a rewarding school environment.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support primary-aged pupils with varying levels of need throughout the school day.
Your responsibilities will include supporting learning activities, encouraging communication and independence, and assisting pupils with their physical, emotional, and personal care needs where required.
Some pupils may require support with mobility, sensory needs, medical routines, or the use of specialist equipment. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
This role combines education and care, making it particularly well suited to individuals who are patient, attentive, and passionate about helping children reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils
- Assist in delivering engaging, personalised learning activities
- Support pupils with personal care where required
- Assist with mobility and the safe use of specialist equipment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Promote communication, independence, and positive social interaction
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Requirements
- Experience supporting children or vulnerable individuals in any setting
- Backgrounds in support work, care, healthcare, SEN, childcare, or education are encouraged
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
- Confidence supporting both learning and care needs
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Full-time availability
- Enhanced DBS check required
