Role Overview
We are seeking to appoint a confident and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a pupil in Reception. The successful candidate will help the pupil access and engage with classroom learning, understand expectations, and participate effectively in both structured and unstructured group learning activities.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who can offer a nurturing, patient and supportive approach, enabling the pupil to develop confidence, independence and positive relationships with others. You will also be expected to implement strategies and intervention programmes under the direction of the class teacher and external professionals, including Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists.
Qualifications
Asspeech, language and communication needs are the pupil’s primary area of need; experience and expertise in supporting children in this area are highly desirable. A good standard of English and Mathematics is essential. Applications from graduates are warmly welcomed.
