Job Title: HLTA

Salary: £14.26 – £18.00 per hour
We are looking for a skilled HLTA to work in a specialist SEND school in Bristol. The role involves supporting children and young people with severe and profound learning difficulties, Autism, complex medical needs and challenging behaviours. The successful candidate will deliver targeted support, promote engagement, and use a reflective approach to meet each learner’s needs while working collaboratively with the wider teaching and support team.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with pupils with Autism, complex medical needs and challenging behaviours.
- Deliver personalised, targeted support to promote learning and engagement.
- Use reflective practice to assess and adapt strategies to meet individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with the wider teaching and support team to ensure consistent, inclusive practice.
Qualifications
- HLTA qualification or relevant equivalent experience
- Experience working within a SEND setting
- Knowledge of Autism, severe learning difficulties and profound learning difficulties
- Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviours and/or complex medical needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Energy, confidence, enthusiasm and a commitment to inclusion
