Job Overview
In the heart of Hertfordshire, Bushey, an ‘Outstanding’ Secondary School is hiring a Teacher of Chemistry / Science Teacher for a September 2026 start. This is a permanent, full‑time contract.
Responsibilities
- Inspire and motivate the younger generation.
- Work alongside a team of Science Teachers.
- Take on Teacher Leadership Roles such as KS3 Coordinator and Pastoral responsibilities.
- Mentor Early Careers Teachers (ECTs), providing 1:1 support, bespoke induction, and training.
- Collaborate with the school to support teaching practice and progress.
Qualifications and Experience
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or in process of gaining it.
- Strong academic background – Degree, A Levels, and GCSEs.
- Meeting the 8 Teaching Standards at a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ level.
- Experience working within a large Science department.
- Positive attitude to feedback and continual professional development.
Salary and Benefits
Graduate Salary: £39,571 – £59,135 (MPS1–UPS3) plus Teacher Leadership Role bonus depending on experience.
Location: Hertfordshire, Bushey.
