We are looking for an enthusiastic Mixer Driver to join our team at our Grimsby Concrete Plant. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for driving and a keen interest in learning more about the construction materials industry. With a focus on delivering our products throughout Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and North Nottinghamshire, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for efficiency, safety, and quality. Full training on our products and processes will be provided, ensuring you’re well-prepared to meet our high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver concrete safely and efficiently.
- Liaise and build positive relationships with the internal Distribution Team and internal/external customers.
- Ensure all deliveries comply with legal requirements, prioritising the health, safety, and environmental standards of Breedon.
- Work closely with the area Transport Manager to optimise delivery schedules and routes.
- Contribute to the team by maintaining a flexible approach to working hours, including occasional nights and weekends.
Qualifications
- Flexible, proactive and versatile approach to work.
- Energetic “hands-on” attitude and ability to anticipate problems and consider solutions.
- Experience of HGV driving and a valid Class C licence.
- Current driver CPC.
- Strong knowledge of the local area (preferred).
- Experience delivering concrete (preferred but not essential).
- Availability for occasional nights and weekends.
- Commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
