Weare seeking to appoint an HLTA to add value to our students learningexperience, working in a friendly team.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Take a lead role in the development and implementation of appropriatebehaviour inclusion managementstrategies
  • Organise and deliver intervention support for students withcommunication and interaction needs
  • Provide support with resources and learning strategies for staff workingwith students with C&I needs. Thiswill include the effective deployment of TAs as well as working closely withstudents, parents/carers, other staff (eg teaching staff) and external agenciesto identify, assess and plan to meet the needs of students requiring C&I support
  • Manage SEN information and case studies about students with SEN supportor EHCPs
  • Monitor the progress of students by measuring the impact of anyintervention work, through appropriate testing and reviews. Keep accurate records
  • Work with other staff in planning, evaluating and adjusting learningactivities as appropriate
  • Monitor and evaluate students’ responses and progress against actionplans through observations and planned recording
  • Work with the SEN Leadership Team in supporting students with SEN fromprimary schools prior to their transition to St Peter’s
  • Arrange and oversee the timetables of students with C&I needs tofacilitate appropriate interventions.
  • Planningand Delivery of interventions for individuals and small groups
  • Liaisingwith parents, carers and external agencies
  • Line manage members of the SEN Team including appraisals
