School Caretaker/Site Manager

Location: Willenhall

Contract Type: Part-time, Temporary (Ongoing, including work over the summer holidays)

Working Hours: 6:30am – 10:30am (Monday–Friday) – 20 hours per week

Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hands‑on School Caretaker/Site Manager to join a school in Willenhall. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong maintenance skills who takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in the day‑to‑day running of the school site, ensuring the premises are well maintained, compliant with health and safety requirements, and fully operational at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the security, maintenance, and general upkeep of the school premises.
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
  • Ensure the school grounds and buildings remain safe, clean, and presentable.
  • Conduct regular health and safety inspections and report any concerns.
  • Liaise with external contractors and monitor works carried out on site.
  • Assist with the preparation and set‑up of rooms and facilities for school events and activities.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance issues to minimise disruption to the school day.

About You

  • Previous experience in a caretaker, site management, facilities, or maintenance role.
  • Good practical skills, with the ability to undertake a range of minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Sound understanding of health and safety procedures and regulations.
  • Able to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Reliable, organised, and proactive in approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
  • Available to start immediately.
