EYFS Teaching Assistant – Great Barr. Job in Birmingham Education & Training Jobs

We are looking for a qualified Teaching Assistant with EYFS experience to support students, including those with SEND, at a primary school in Great Barr from September 2026 to July 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Support children in the EYFS and KS1 curriculum.
• Assist children who are non‑verbal and provide one‑to‑one support to pupils with SEND.
• Use MAKATON where possible to facilitate communication.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Level 3+ teaching assistant qualification (NVQ or CACHE preferred).
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND on a one‑to‑one basis.
• Experience of MAKATON is preferable but not essential.
• Excellent working knowledge of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum.
• Recent primary school experience within the last 2 years.

Additional Information

• Full‑time position, starting September 2026 and ending July 2027.
