Secondary SEN Teacher

An SEN School in the Borough of Hounslow is looking to recruit a Secondary SEN Teacher to join the school in September 2026. The role is full‑time, permanent and directly employed by the school.

• SEN School for students aged 11‑18




• Focused on supporting children with ASD and complex needs




• Teaching small classes with a strong adult‑to‑child ratio (typically 7 adults per class of 10 students)




• Delivering an individualised curriculum tailored to each child’s learning goals




• Working alongside a range of professionals including Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists




• Collaborating with parents and colleagues




• Setting up provisions for SEN children, incorporating play‑based learning

Job Description

• Teaching SEN children in small groups




• Setting up and maintaining provisions for SEN children




• Focusing on increasing the quality of learning and provisions for SEN students at the school




• Start date: September 2026




• Full‑time, permanent contract




• Pay: MPS1‑UPS3 + SEN point 1 or 2




• Location: Hounslow, Outer London

Person Specification

• UK QTS required




• Strong understanding of the curriculum




• Passion and creative flair towards education and inspiring young minds




• Understanding of the teaching standards




• Lesson observations required to be Good or Outstanding
