Teaching Assistant

Are you an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and qualified Teaching Assistant? Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to join their prep school team and make a real difference to children’s learning and emotional development, helping to ensure that every pupil can access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Primarily support a lower KS2 teacher and pupils.
• Work in close partnership with the class teacher to prepare resources and deliver engaging learning experiences.
• Run targeted interventions with groups of children and provide social and emotional support.
• Manage pupil behaviour and support teaching within the lower KS2 age group.
• Contribute to the development of individual support plans.
• Deliver one-to-one and small‑group interventions such as phonics and maths.
• Promote an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 TA qualification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and flexible approach.
• Passion for supporting pupils to succeed.
• Confidence managing pupil behaviour.
• Experience supporting teaching in lower KS2 age group.
• Ideally:
• ELSA training (or experience of delivering social and emotional interventions).
• Confidence facilitating ELSA/intervention sessions.
• Experience working with pupils across KS2/Prep age group.
• Experience as Learning Support Assistant, Classroom Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, SEMH Support Worker, ELSA Practitioner, Early Years Practitioner, Pupil Support Assistant, Intervention Support Worker, Special Educational Needs Assistant, or Primary School Teaching Assistant.

Contract & Benefits
