Lane Technician – Ocean Terminal Edinburgh
Lane7 is the UK’s fastest growing and biggest independent boutique bowling destination. We have multiple venues across our Lane7, Level X, Gutterball and ML7 brands. Bowling has always been our thing – since launch in 2013, but really, we’re all your best nights in one: Pool, golf, darts, karaoke, arcades and a ton of next-level gaming experiences, combined with great drinks and fabulous food. The Role
The focus will be the maintenance and general upkeep of our bowling lanes, pinsetters and all other mechanical systems to the highest level of efficiency and overall safety and satisfaction of our guests. The role also includes general maintenance of the venues and facilities and therefore a keen attention to detail, basic trade skills and an enthusiastic and reliable attitude are essential. If you have a technical, mechanical or electrical background, this is the job for you. You don’t need to have worked in this industry or have had previous experience, as training will be provided as will the tools for the job.
Requirements
- Ability to work on own initiative, pro-actively seeking problems and faults with machinery
- Ability to demonstrate practical and mechanical awareness
- Ability to problem solve and enjoy practical tasks
- Look after our machinery and the venue’s facilities with pride
- Flexibility around working hours as we operate 7 days a week
- Basic literacy, numeracy and measurement skills
- Ability to interpret technical manuals
- Fit for manual labour
- Must be comfortable with and adhere to all safety precautions when working with moving parts
Qualifications
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Right to work in the UK
