Are you an experienced Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader looking for your next challenge within a growing logistics operation?
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading transport and distribution business seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to support the day-to-day management of warehouse operations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced environment where you will play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency, stock accuracy, service performance and team development.
Working closely with the Warehouse Manager, you will act as the link between the warehouse floor and office, leading by example and supporting the smooth running of daily operations.
The Role
Support the day-to-day supervision of warehouse operations, ensuring service levels and operational targets are achieved.
Coordinate inbound and outbound activities, ensuring goods are received, stored and dispatched efficiently.
Monitor workflow and allocate resources effectively to meet operational demands.
Lead, motivate and support warehouse operatives, promoting a positive and productive working environment.
Assist with staff training, onboarding and performance management.
Support stock control activities, including inventory checks, cycle counts and discrepancy investigations.
Maintain accurate warehouse records and utilise warehouse management systems effectively.
Ensure compliance with health & safety policies, operational procedures and housekeeping standards.
Work closely with transport, customer service and operational teams to support service delivery and resolve issues.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse processes and performance.
The Person
Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Warehouse Operative role.
Experience within a warehouse, logistics, distribution or supply chain environment.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front.
Good organisational, planning and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable using warehouse systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with stock control, inventory management and warehouse KPIs.
Understanding of health & safety and operational compliance requirements.
