Technical Support Engineer Lisburn | £40,000 – £45,000 Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading manufacturing business based in Lisburn to recruit a Technical Support Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual with a background in plumbing and heating systems to join a growing organisation and play a key role in delivering technical guidance and aftersales support across a range of heating and renewable energy products.

The successful candidate will primarily be office-based, providing support to customers and coordinating field service activities, with occasional site visits as required.

Your day to day.

  • Provide technical and aftersales support via phone and email, responding to customer queries relating to heating and renewable energy products.
  • Coordinate field engineer activities, including scheduling site visits and support requirements.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, installation histories, technical advice and service interactions using internal service management systems.
  • Carry out heat loss calculations, product selection and prepare renewable technology quotations using specialist software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Support factory visits, product demonstrations and customer training activities when required.
  • Attend customer sites on occasion to provide technical assistance and support.

What you will need.

  • Previous plumbing and heating experience with strong technical knowledge of heating systems and installed heating appliances.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

And better stillalthough not a deal breaker

  • Experience or knowledge of renewable energy technologies, including air source and ground source heat pumps.
  • Experience carrying out heat loss calculations using specialist software.
  • Full UK driving licence.
