Job Title
Area Sales Manager – Northern Ireland including Donegal.
Job Purpose
To represent the industry-leading K Rend and Weber brands within the Republic of Ireland, delivering profitable growth through contractor and distributor pull-through business, maintaining specifications with housebuilders and key partners, and driving market share in line with Saint-Gobain Exterior Solutions (SGES) strategic objectives.
Key Accountabilities
- Achieve annual revenue and profit targets within the assigned area.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, distributors, and housebuilders.
- Identify and qualify new customer opportunities to expand SGESs customer network.
- Deliver high conversion rates by tracking projects from early specification to completion.
- Support regional and national housebuilder relationships in line with service level agreements.
- Collaborate with the National Accounts Team and technical experts to maximise opportunities.
- Provide sales support to distributor branches, ensuring product availability and visibility
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Drive sales of K Rend and Weber renders through proactive engagement with contractors, distributors, and housebuilders.
Customer Relationships
- Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders across the contractor, merchant, and housebuilder network.
- Engage regularly with sales teams and decision-makers to influence project outcomes.
Market Awareness
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and pricing, providing regular feedback to the sales leadership team.
Reporting & Communication
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular reports on sales activity, pipeline, and market insights.
- Actively participate in sales meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Safety & Compliance
- Operate in accordance with Saint-Gobains principles of conduct and action, ensuring compliance with all legal and company policies, including health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Identify discretionary and unspecified sales opportunities with key customer groups.
- Ensure SGES specifications are secured and maintained throughout project lifecycles.
Essential Qualifications
- A relevant degree or qualification is desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in distribution, contractor, and project sales, ideally within construction or building products.
- Strong track record of securing business with housebuilders, contractors, and distributors/merchants.
- Skilled in value-based selling and tailoring solutions to meet customer needs.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build long-term relationships.
- Practical knowledge of construction projects, including tendering and award processes.
- Experience with render products is advantageous.
