Introduction

Anvil Analytical are looking for an early-career Business Development Representative to support our sales team by converting early-stage interest into qualified opportunities.

This role is focused on engaging with prospects across inbound activity, events, and targeted outreach, helping to build initial conversations and progress them towards meetings with our senior sales team.

You’ll work closely with both marketing and sales, gaining exposure to how commercial conversations develop in a growing SaaS business.

Profile

  • Early experience in sales, customer-facing roles, or a strong interest in B2B sales
  • Comfortable communicating via phone, email, and LinkedIn
  • Willingness to learn and take on feedback
  • Organised and able to manage activity consistently
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to engage with new people
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot) is helpful but not essential

Role responsibilities

Lead follow-up and qualification

  • Engage with marketing-generated leads via HubSpot following campaigns, webinars, and events
  • Help qualify initial conversations by understanding key requirements and use cases
  • Progress discussions towards a confirmed meeting with the sales team
  • Maintain clear and accurate tracking of outreach and activity

Targeted outreach

  • Support outreach into defined accounts and sectors
  • Engage prospects through calls, LinkedIn, and email
  • Use existing messaging and campaigns to guide conversations
  • Learn how to tailor messaging based on different industries and personas

Event and campaign support

  • Follow up with contacts from events, conferences, and campaigns
  • Reconnect with prospects where conversations have slowed or paused
  • Help move discussions towards a clear next step

Internal collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing and sales to understand priorities and campaigns
  • Contribute feedback on outreach activity and prospect engagement
  • Learn how pipeline is built and progressed within a SaaS environment
