Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Sales Department role based in Dudley, with the possibility of Full-Time position moving forward. The team member will assist customers on the shop floor, provide product recommendations across racket sports, and ensure a welcoming, professional store environment. Daily tasks include answering customer inquiries, dealing with incoming stock, maintaining accurate stock displays and inventory levels. The role also involves learning key product features, supporting specialist services such as racket stringing intake, and helping to organize promotions or in-store events. The team member will collaborate with colleagues to meet targets, uphold visual merchandising standards, and deliver consistent, high-quality customer service.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills, with the ability to engage a diverse range of customers in a friendly, professional manner.
- Racket Sports Knowledge.
- Sales experience and supporting store-level sales initiatives.
- Ability to provide product guidance to customers, especially around racket sports equipment and related services.
- Basic numeracy and point-of-sale skills, with attention to accuracy in cash handling and stock management.
- Interest in racket sports (e.g., tennis, padel) and willingness to develop product knowledge and technical understanding.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible part-time hours, including weekends and peak trading periods.
- Previous experience in retail or sports retail is an advantage, a proactive learner mindset is highly valued.
