Role Description The Renewals Advisor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Polegate. The Renewals Executive will handle policy renewals from start to finish, including reviewing existing policies, preparing renewal terms, and presenting options to clients. They will proactively contact customers ahead of renewal dates, discuss coverage needs, and provide clear, compliant information to support informed decisions. Daily tasks include updating client records, processing renewal documentation, handling mid-term adjustments, and ensuring all activities align with internal procedures and regulatory requirements. The role also involves working closely with colleagues to resolve queries promptly, maintain high retention rates, and contribute to an efficient, customer-focused renewals process.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain insurance terms clearly and professionally over the phone and in writing.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling policy information, documentation, and data entry within internal systems.
- Organizational and time-management skills to prioritize workloads, meet renewal deadlines, and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Comfort using office software, CRM or policy management systems, and willingness to learn new tools and processes.
- Previous experience in insurance, financial services, or a similar administrative or customer-facing role is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of general insurance products and regulatory expectations (or willingness to undertake training and relevant certifications).
- Ability to work collaboratively in an office-based team environment in Polegate, with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics required; further education or professional insurance qualifications (e.g., CII study) are an advantage.
