At Hired By Startups, we’re working with a fast-growing, well-funded AI startup, building the infrastructure powering the global secondhand clothing trade.
Backed by prominent US and European VCs, this startup has tripled in size year-on-year and built an AI-powered platform that’s digitising what has historically been a completely manual, offline supply chain.
We’re hiring across two roles – one focused on new business, one on account management. Both require the same DNA. If you’re a builder, a seller, and genuinely AI-native, keep reading.
This is a true AI builder role. We’re looking for someone who builds tools, automates workflows, and ships things that run without them. If that’s not how you work, this probably isn’t for you.
About the roles
As a Sales Executive, you will:
- Identify, prospect, and close key accounts including vintage enterprises, retail stores, and high-volume resellers.
- Visit stores, get on calls, and build deep relationships with buyers across online and offline channels.
- Build AI-enabled outreach and new business workflows, designing repeatable systems that can run with minimal manual input.
- Help define how the company acquires large customers. You’re building the playbook, not just executing it.
- Own and exceed revenue targets, taking a proactive approach to pipeline building.
As an Account Manager, you will:
- Own a portfolio of marketplace customers, driving 10-20% month-on-month growth in retention and wallet share.
- Act as the single point of contact for resellers, vintage stores, and enterprise buyers.
- Re-engage lapsed accounts, understanding why they churned and building compelling reasons to return.
- Use WhatsApp, email, calls, and curated stock recommendations to keep customers active and expanding.
- Build AI-powered workflows to scale your ability to manage more accounts at higher quality.
- Feed customer insights back to product, operations, and supply to drive platform improvements.
About you
For both roles, you’ll need:
- 2+ years in a commercial role at an early-stage or high-growth company.
- A genuine AI builder. You use AI to create repeatable systems and automated workflows, not just as a shortcut for everyday tasks. You can show your work.
- Comfort with ambiguity. You’ve thrived in environments where the playbook didn’t exist yet.
- Strong relationship skills across multiple channels, from WhatsApp to in-person.
- Self-motivated and commercially driven. You own your numbers.
- A genuine interest in fashion, secondhand, or vintage would be a bonus.
