Head of Data Science
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £180,000 + Bonus
We’re partnering with an exciting, high-growth scale-up that is looking to appoint a Head of Data Science to lead and expand its data science function during a pivotal stage of growth.
This is an opportunity to join a business that is genuinely data-driven, where data science plays a central role in shaping product strategy, driving commercial decisions, and delivering measurable business impact. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you’ll have the autonomy to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data science capability while building and mentoring a high-performing team.
The Role:
- Define and execute the data science strategy in line with wider business objectives
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Data Scientists and ML professionals
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Commercial teams
- Drive the development and deployment of machine learning models and advanced analytics solutions
- Champion best practices across experimentation, modelling, and AI innovation
- Help shape the company’s long-term data and AI vision
About You:
- Proven experience leading and scaling Data Science teams
- A strong background in machine learning, statistical modelling, and advanced analytics
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving strategic initiatives
- A track record of delivering data products that create tangible business value
- Strong technical expertise alongside excellent leadership and communication skills
