Manufacturing Shift Leader

Shift Leader – Chemicals – £48k – £52k

A leading Chemical manufacturing business is looking for a Shift Leader to supervise production operations, lead a team of operators and ensure safe, efficient and high-quality manufacturing performance.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll take ownership of the plant during your shift, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading and motivating a team of Production Operators
• Ensuring production targets, quality standards and safety requirements are met
• Coordinating shift activities and handovers
• Managing work permits and supporting maintenance activities
• Troubleshooting operational issues and escalating where required
• Driving continuous improvement across the production area
• Acting as the senior operational contact during nights, weekends and holiday periods

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in a Shift Leader, Team Leader or Supervisor role
• Manufacturing, process, chemical or industrial production experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience working with safety procedures and permit systems
• A proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving
