A well-established Belfast law firm is seeking a Litigation Solicitor to join its busy and growing disputes team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a practice with a strong reputation for representing individuals, trade union members and families across Northern Ireland. The firm has built a longstanding presence in the claimant litigation market and is known for handling a broad range of personal injury and civil litigation matters while delivering exceptional client care.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload of litigation matters, working closely with experienced colleagues on a range of contentious cases, including:
- Employers’ Liability claims
- Occupiers’ Liability claims
- Industrial Disease claims
- Clinical Negligence matters
- Road Traffic Accident claims
- General civil litigation matters
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of case management, from initial instruction through to settlement or hearing, including drafting, negotiations, client meetings and court attendance where appropriate. There may also be exposure to some straightforward criminal matters, although previous criminal experience is not essential.
About You
Applications are welcomed from qualified solicitors with experience in personal injury, civil litigation or dispute resolution. You should be able to demonstrate:
- Strong technical and litigation skills
- Excellent drafting and negotiation abilities
- Confidence managing files and progressing matters independently
- A client-focused and empathetic approach
- Strong organisational and communication skills
Candidates with experience in employers’ liability, industrial disease, clinical negligence or claimant litigation will be of particular interest.
