About The Role
We are seeking an exceptional, multi/bilingual professional to join the Business School as a Partnership Tutor, supporting the success of international student cohorts on the 3+1 pathways and strengthening key global partnerships, with a particular focus on the Chinese educational context.
This exciting opportunity is for someone passionate about student development, intercultural engagement, and academic excellence. You will provide expert academic skills support, guidance, and transition assistance to students joining from overseas, helping them thrive within a UK higher education environment.
Responsibilities include working collaboratively with academic colleagues, professional services teams, and international partners, enhancing student progression, continuation, and graduate outcomes. You will deliver workshops, one‑to‑one support, and targeted interventions, contribute to partnership development, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, and facilitate communication and coordination between Sussex and partner institutions on curriculum and programme mapping alignment, supporting student transition, planning and progression.
About You
Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification, fluency in both Mandarin and English, deep knowledge of Chinese culture, education systems, and student needs. Experience supporting students in a university or comparable environment is essential.
