Compensation

Salary: £35–40k + commission. Car or car allowance. Pension. Typical OTE £45–50k.

Location

South East – Nationwide travel expected.

Role Summary

Drive and exceed sales targets by promoting and selling the company’s products and services. Build and convert your own pipeline of sales opportunities. Work closely with the Operations team to onboard new clients smoothly and efficiently, delivering on the expectations set during the sales process.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Prepare quotes, proposals, and tender documents.
• Deliver presentations and manage the full sales cycle through to close.
• Secure long‑term, sustainable business from both new and existing clients.
• Accurately record and manage all sales activity using the company CRM system.
• Respond promptly to enquiries, issue and follow up on proposals and quotations.
• Support marketing initiatives and campaigns.
• Proactively network and build relationships within key target markets.
• Represent the company at trade shows, buyer events, and industry conferences.
• Client onboarding and collaboration; clearly communicate customer requirements.
• Act as the main liaison between the client and Operations until services are live and handed over to Account Management.
• Represent the company professionally to clients, suppliers, industry bodies, and the public, always reflecting company values and culture.

Requirements

• Business Development Manager or similar senior sales role experience.
• Proven sales record in medium/large value service contacts in the Waste & Recycling or Facilities Management sectors.
• Experience delivering Total Waste Management, Total Facilities Management, Food Waste Management, Integrated Waste Services, Waste Brokerage, Recycling, Integrated Resource Management, FM, TWM, Facilities Management.
• UK driving licence and ability to travel across the UK as required.
