Experience & Background
- Significant benefits management experience (typically 5+ years), acting as a subject matter expert rather than a general programme PMO role
- Proven experience working across large, complex programmes, ideally national-scale initiatives
- Experience delivering benefits from early lifecycle stages, including:
- Benefits identification
- Baselining and quantification
- Tracking, reporting, and benefits realisation
- Experience within central government, large public‑sector organisations, or equivalent (e.g. Home Office, Cabinet Office, NHS England, TfL); policing experience is desirable but not essential
Qualifications & Technical Knowledge
- Relevant benefits management qualification, e.g. APMG Managing Benefits (strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of benefits frameworks and governance
- Economics or analytical background desirable, particularly familiarity with the Green Book and benefit valuation methodologies
