Position: Collection & Delivery Manager
Location: Gloucester PFW Depot, Gloucester, GL2 2AD
Compensation: £40,457 per annum, potential 15% bonus and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

About The Role
As a line manager to delivery and collection drivers, including self‑employed owner drivers, you will lead a team, ensuring maximum efficiency through resource and contingency planning. You will drive depot performance to achieve high customer service satisfaction levels, resolve customer enquiries and complaints swiftly, and maintain the highest quality of service in health and safety, operational quality, cost and people key performance indicators.
You will manage the performance of the unit, uphold safety standards, and work closely with the local sales team to increase revenue opportunities and address any network conformance issues.
Attendance
Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 14:15 (hours of attendance may vary due to role requirements)
About You
- Experience in express parcels with background in a unionised environment
- Proven ability to manage and support a large team, maximising performance, service and KPI achievement
- Strong customer focus, ensuring high service quality and swift resolution of complaints
- Experience in health and safety compliance across night operations, maintaining a safe working environment
- Excellent communication skills, motivating team members to maintain high standards
- Track record of introducing improvements and guiding people through significant change
- Ability to build effective relationships with team, unions and key stakeholders
- Experience in managing resources and budgets
