We’re partnering with a highly successful, design-led mobile app business looking for an experienced Optimisation & Experimentation Consultant to help establish a mature experimentation capability across their consumer app portfolio.
Historically, experimentation and A/B testing have been carried out on an ad hoc basis, and they’re now looking for a specialist to assess the current approach, implement best practices, and leave behind a scalable experimentation framework that can be adopted by the wider team.
Responsibilities
- Assess the current experimentation and testing approach and recommend improvements
- Design and implement a scalable experimentation framework and processes
- Configure and optimise Firebase experimentation capabilities
- Build and manage a prioritised testing roadmap and experimentation backlog
- Run and oversee A/B tests across onboarding journeys, feature releases, retention initiatives and user experience improvements
- Analyse experiment results and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Work closely with Product Designers, Data Analysts, Engineers, QA and Marketing teams to deliver experiments effectively
- Create sustainable documentation, processes and ways of working that will continue beyond the engagement
- Proven experience leading experimentation, optimisation, growth and A/B testing initiatives within consumer mobile app businesses
- Strong hands-on experience running end-to-end experimentation programmes
- Experience with Firebase and mobile app experimentation tools
- Deep understanding of user behaviour, onboarding, engagement and retention optimisation
- Experience building experimentation frameworks and processes from scratch
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with Design, Data and Engineering teams
- Previous experience working within a mobile app business, app-focused consultancy, or digital product agency
