Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (EBD)
Location: Derby (DE22)
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum upon successful Ofsted registration
Bonus: £3,000 annual performance bonus (subject to criteria)
Schedule: Full Time | Monday – Friday | 09:00 – 17:00
The Role
As registered manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and smooth running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance are maintained. You will lead and develop the staff team while creating a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment that enables young people to achieve positive outcomes. The successful candidate will also participate in the senior management on‑call rota, providing emergency out‑of‑hours support approximately one week in every five.
Essential Requirements
- Previously successful in obtaining Ofsted registration as a registered manager.
- Ability to pass Ofsted Fit Person Interview and registration requirements.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management position within children’s residential care.
- Experience working with children and young people in a residential setting.
- Experience supporting young people with EBD is highly desirable.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or Level 5 Diploma in Children, Young People and Families Management.
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00.
- 40 hours per week.
- Flexibility to work additional hours where required to meet the needs of the home.
- Participation in the senior management on‑call rota (approximately 1 week in every 5).
